A Great Find At The Thursday Night Market
While I was at the Thursday Night Market in Chico with my sis Holly, we came across this booth selling clothes and accessories.
What first caught my eye was the “what do you do” patch shirt so we walked in to take a better look.
The booth is actually for a website called stayvocal.com which was created by Alex Eaves (who’s originally from Mass, too cool).
“Our mission is to encourage people to reuse whenever and wherever possible. By reusing, we are helping to preserve and protect our planet's precious resources. This is a top priority for every one of us."
Stay Vocal is a company that reuses clothes that would have been shredded or burned by manufacturers because of defects that make them “unsellable”. They also use clothes that are found at thrift stores or are donated by people who are cleaning out their closets.
They have hats, t-shirts for the whole family (many of which are one of a kind), stickers, pins, travel mugs and my favorite, reusable bags (some of which are one of a kind as well).
You know how much I love reusable bags and these ones are grown, sewn and printed in the U.S.A. which I think is just awesome (and hard to come by). You can choose from a nice selection of prints in either organic or recycled cotton. I went with the recycled “paper or plastic” bag and have a feeling it won’t be my last (as I’m writing this my mom is ordering the organic “paper or plastic” in blue). These are definitely my new faves.
I also picked up 4 "what do you do" shirts for us. I'm sure I'll be getting more of these for the rest of my family.
Tyler; take a 5 min. shower, Dylan; let it mellow when it's yellow, Julia; use bags grown, sewn & printed in the US, Todd; do everything easyecotogo.com says
I think what he's doing is so wonderful and I so highly recommend the site. And if you happen to be in the Chico CA area on a Thursday night stop by his booth and tell him I say "Hi".

I got the bag I ordered on Saturday. Of course it was shipped in a used organic cornflakes box. I love it.
