Green And Crafty

Courtesy of another newsletter (More Hip Than Hippie) I came across another article that got me all riled up, but this time in a good way. The article is about what to do with the old hard plastic water bottles you're no longer using because you've switched over to stainless steel bottles.

I especially liked the picnic weights and solar lanterns. I may just have to go down to our local thrift store and see if they have any bottles so I can try making them. However, I'm a lot craftier in my head than I am in real life.

Anyways, it's a good read with some fun ideas so check it out and let me know if you make any of them.

This is what i used to do back in Framingham:
if you cut the top off the bottle right at the apex of the curve, then you do the same to a balloon and tape the bulbous part of the balloon to the open cap end of the bottle you now have a pretty neat little rock/popcorn seed/small projectile launcher.

Then you can use the rest of the bottle as a cup or as a target for your new oakie slingshot.
