Aloe Vera, Good For More Than Just Bug Bites
Today’s Easy Eco Idea is about the aloe vera plant.
Aloe vera plants are a wonderful way to get natural pain and itch relief. They’re inexpensive and easy to maintain since they require very little water.
You can use the plant for bug bites, rashes and minor burns. I even read on one site that you can add the juice to a beverage and drink it. Another talks about the uses of aloe for everything from external, like, Eczema and bug bits to internal, like asthma and bloating.
Growing up my mom always had at least one aloe vera plant around the house. There are lots of mosquitoes in Framingham MA where I grew up and nothing relieved the itching like real fresh aloe vera gel.
My mom recently moved in with us and one of the first things she did was buy an aloe vera plant, a very large aloe vera plant at that. But now that I know all the uses for it, I’m glad she bought the giant one.
