Relax And Enjoy The Green Ride
Today’s the boys first day of school Tyler starts 5th grade & Dylan starts Kindergarten. I don’t have a post ready for today because as you may have noticed in previous posts I’m not one for getting things done ahead of time.
It’s not only Tyler and Dylan’s first day but also their first day at a new school. Also, at this school kindergarten is all day, so needless to say I’m a big nervous wreck and that’s not likely to change until I pick them up today at 3:10.
So today’s Easy Eco Idea will be short and sweet and hopefully I’ll be able to type it out, what with my hands shaking and all.
It’s simply: Relax. Going green is as much, if not more, about the journey as it is the destination.
Yes the destination is wonderful; solar power, solar powered cars, only eating what you grew or came from within 150 miles.
But it’s during the journey we realize that being green is not only a lot easier than we thought but actually kind of fun.
When you start looking forward to the farmers market as much for the farmers that you’ve befriended as for the food they’re selling.
When your 5 year old reminds you to grab your shopping bags because while you were rushing you forgot.
So during this month of Easy Eco Ideas remember to take it one day at a time, do what you’re ready for and what fits into your life right now and just have fun.
And no, I didn’t miss the irony of writing a post about relaxing. ;)
