Saving Trees & Reducing Waste With Litter Free Lunch

Many of my posts this month have been on how to reduce waste, both at home and while away so this review will fit right in.

I recently received some cloth napkins from Litter Free Lunch to try out because on Twitter I mentioned that the boys take waste-free lunches to school. Man I love Twitter.

The napkins come in a pack of 5, so you have 1 for every day of the week I imagine. There are lots of colors to choose from and even some with soccer balls and sunflowers stitched on them. I was sent the set in natural organic, good choice for them because I am all about buying organic when there’s a choice.

While only 2 of the 10 sets come in organic cotton all of them are made in the USA so I'm still pretty happy.

When I opened the package and saw the napkins they looked really small, but then when I unfolded one I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was actually a quite big.

Upon unfolding it I also saw that there was a label sewn onto the napkin where you can write your name. What a great idea! If you have kids you know that you need to write their names on everything because they will lose it and upon seeing it, if it doesn’t have their name on it, have no recollection of it ever being theirs. And heck, my mom liked the labels because that way no one could “accidently” think it was theirs and swipe her nifty napkin.

I love that these napkins work for both kids and adults and that they really are soft and durable just like they say they are.

They are definitely a great addition to my boys (and mom's) waste-free lunches.

Now all I have to do is stock up on enough for both boys, mom and Todd!
