The Next Best Thing
So not everyone around here is in love with the vinegar as fabric softener, but I won’t name names.
But I really didn’t want to go back to dryer sheets that I had to throw away or even liquid fabric softener because I’m pretty sure the caps can’t be recycled like every other plastic bottle out there. I wonder why that is?
Anyways, when my mom was out shopping she found these dryer sheets from Seventh Generation that are paper instead of, well, whatever the others ones are made out of.
So what you say, well here’s what. Because they’re made out of paper they’re recyclable and can even be composted according to the package (which is made from recycled paper, by the way).
When I read the package and saw the part about them being recyclable I was just too excited, others, not so much:
I sat down with Todd and said “Guess what?”
He said “what?”
I said “These new dryer are recyclable!”
He said “Of course they are.”
Nothing fazes him anymore.
So while they’re obviously not as good as no waste they are the next best thing and a happy medium for us.

I've used those. They work well. I put them in my compost bin, esp. since my town incinerates the trash.

I love the Trader Joes Lavender Bags :)
Well they do look pretty green! You could do what I do and forget about using a dryer Just hang the clothes to dry. It' takes a little planning ahead in the winter, but in summer it's a breeze :) Very economical and no impact what so ever on the environment. I kicked the dryer habit years and years ago when mine broke down. I've had several opportunities since then to use one. but have held out so far. I really hate it when my clothes shrink!
