Not Bad, But Not Great Either

Looking at our trash, I must admit, this was not our best week.

Our 13 gallon can must be at least ¾ full, the fullest it’s been in a one week period since we first started reducing our waste.

For one, the diapers are back. I decided to check freecycle and craigslist to see if I could find any cloth diapers that were being gotten of nearby but I didn’t have any luck. I’m going to check out ebay and etsy as well to see what I can find. However, Dylan decided that he didn’t want to wear one to bed tonight because he’s going to stay dry, so here’s to hoping.

The second part is that we just simply weren’t as vigilant about making sure we did everything we could to keep our waste down. I bought things that had too much packaging and thus we had too much waste.

I just went shopping for the week on Friday and bought a lot less packaged food so hopefully this week the trash won’t change much from where it is now.

However, I'm certainly not going to beat myself up over this weeks over abundance of garbage considering I used to fill a can twice that size every week. It's all about perspective and doing better next time.
