Pretty Impressed It's Not Full

I think we did pretty well this week. Last week we ended with the garbage being ¾ of the way full and as you can see, at the end of this week, we still a (very) little bit of room left.
Like I said, I'm cutting back on how much packaged foods I buy and I'm sure that helped. Turns out there's not a lot of packaging when it comes to fruits and veggies, go figure.
I'm also trying to be extra vigilant about making sure the packaged food that I do buy comes in something that I can recycle, i.e. not plastic.
Even though it's pretty full I think that if we're careful we can make it another week. Here's to hoping!

I find this very impressive.

Thanks Nessa, I'm pretty glad that we've been able to stick with it!
What a fantastic week; well done you. It's amazing what you can do to reduce your waste once you start to make more conscious decisions about packaging. It's really heartening to read about your ventures - thanks for doing your bit to help the planet :)
WOW, this is pretty impressive indeed!!
/PS Is that a sock in there? Maybe you could re-use it for cleaning/scrubbing bathroom sink or something like that? Or stuffing a cloth toy or cloth ball to give as a gift for Christmas maybe?)
I'd stay away from too much cans due to possible bisphenol A lining or such, maybe just make your own 'pre-packaged food' to put in freezer and voila! convenience food?)
You're doing great and are VERY inspiring!!
I thought I got away with it Layla! Yes, it's a sock. I use ratty tees but there's just something about socks. I know the feet that were in them and really don't want to touch them, even if they have been washed. ;)
