More Steaz Teaz Pleaze
I heard about Steaz Teaz from a chat that was happening on Twitter and it was mentioned that they're organic and Fair Trade which definitely caught my attention.
During the chat a link was given for a buy-1-get-1-free offer, when I went there there was also an offer for free teas to anyone with a blog. Free tea, sign me up!
I love tea. I don't make the time to have it nearly enough. It takes time to brew and then you have to wait for it to cool so you can actually drink and by then I've forgotten about it and it's just cold. I love iced tea but having your hot tea go cold is not the same thing. And making iced tea is even more labor intensive because you have to do all that and have ice on hand to make it iced. I'm getting tired just thinking about it.
So I thought organic, Fair Trade iced tea in a can perfect and emailed Steaz saying I have a blog and would love to try their tea.
However, there's one little, tiny thing I forgot in all the excitement of free tea; I don't like canned or bottled tea. They never taste right, they're always too sweet or too thick, which is just wrong.
So now I've got teas coming and I'm going to feel really guilty not writing about them because I don't want to say anything bad when it's really just me and not the tea that has the problem.
When they got here I felt even worse, they sent 6 cans! There were 2 each of the teas; Green Tea with Peach, Green Tea with Blueberry Pomegranate Acai and White Tea with Lime and Pomegranate from the flavored teas line. I consider just having my mom try them so they don't go to waste.
I decided that wouldn't be right so I just needed to suck it up and try the tea, hope for the best and try to be as fair as possible since I don't really liked can tea.
Plus I really liked what Steaz is doing, from reducing their impact by partnering with NativeEnergy, donating to causes like Grind for Life that help cancer patients and survivors through skateboarding and by implementing sustainable business practices. To me it seems like Steaz is company worth talking about.
The first one I tried was Green Tea with Blueberry Pomegranate Acai, I took a tiny sip and....it was actually really good! I was shocked, it wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't thick at all and you could really taste the different flavors. It was so good I drank the whole 16 oz can in one sitting! It was the same thing with the other 2 flavors, they're just good and taste the way I think they should, like tea not sugar or uncarbonated soda.
I had already told my mom that she could have 1 of each flavor, because at the time I didn't want to drink anymore then I had too. I was kind of regretting that afterward actually trying them.
So in the end it's just like I'm always telling my boys “Just try it, you may like it”. I know I'm glad I took that little piece of advice.
And don't forget to get your buy-1-get-1-free coupon.

i am so sorry I missed the coupon, but wanted to say, I don't usually like canned tea either, but Steaz tea ROCKS. Because it's not too sweet and has very yummy flavors. It's awesome for when I don't have the time to brew some before I leave the house. ;) I <3 Tea!
This is my first time i visit here. I found so many interesting stuff in your blog especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I guess I am not the only one having all the enjoyment here! keep up the good work.
