Snowed In And Trashed

Photobucket

It's been a little crazy around here what with possibly the worst snow storm they've ever had in this area and all.

The storm dumped 15 inches of snow which snapped many a tree and caused us to loose power for 2 days (some lost it for even longer).

So with not being able to open the fridge for 2 days we went through the packaged food that we have a bit faster then normal which didn't help our trash. We also did a big clean this weekend and whenever that happens the trash suffers. I can't imagine where it all comes from since I swear I'm not buying all this disposable stuff. Todd!! (hehe)

Anyways, even with all that our 13 gallon can is still only about half full, which is better then the last two times that we started fresh.

Good job on your 1/2 full garbage can! We took out our big tote for pick up this morning and only had 1/4 full! Feels good to reduce the trash. My compost heap is growing though.

That is a LOT of snow!!
I have to admit that I am a lot more wasteful than you are....I applaud you for such a tiny amount of trash after that long!

Wow, you guys got hammered! Thankfully this one missed us by a hair. Phew! lol. Not looking forward to shoveling.

Or losing the power for any stretch of time in the winter! That sucks!
