Enough With The Trash Talk, It's Time For Trash Action

So here we are once again going over what we put into the trash at the end of the week.
Once again it's about half full, which I think has a lot to do with all the packaged foods we still had in the house after all the visitors.
However, now that everyone is gone I plan to get us back on track. Todd and I went to the Sacramento farmers market today and stocked up on all kinds of non-packaged goodies. You know I'll be telling you all about that!
I was really proud of us when we made it a whole 4 weeks before needing to take the trash out and I'm really hoping to get back to that.
Since the trash is already half way full I don't think it will make it another 3 weeks, but I am hopeful that it will make it another 2 weeks.
So that's my goal, not emptying the trash until 1/24.
Wish me luck.

very impressive efforts,
rather cute humor :)
if i didnt have the sneezes all the time my trashes would be a lot emptier. i used to use hankies but i go through too many i think. maybe not.
i just wanna grab that banana and throw it in my compost! you can mail it here. ;-)
as for my chocolate recipe, i did post sort of a variation of one once. we like to keep our real one top secret in case we go into the choc business someday. you can easily do: 1 cup cacao or choc powder, 1 cup melted coconut oil, 1/2 cup (or more) agave nectar. pinch of salt. that outta get you started.
Thanks for the chocolate recipe!
We've managed to stick with our new hankie habit, I made sure that we made LOTS of them so we don't run out.
We are up to about 3 - 4 weeks without having to take our garbage out (there are only 2 of us). It is kind of a fun game, isn't it? Our garbage decreased the most when we started composting. Great site and I am now following!
Way to go Ben! There are so many things i never thought about before I started paying attention to my trash, like how much packaging some food comes in. But I'm really glad to be doing it & showing the boys how to do it so when they're grown it will just be second nature to them. Thanks for the follow!
