Natural Insecticide For Tomatoes - EcoSmart Giveaway

I was target the other day (yes, I shop at Target) and they already had swimsuits out. Now, it's January and it's cold and the last thing I want to do is try on a swimsuit.

However, I've noticed that once it is warm and I am thinking I might like to get a new suit, there's practically nothing left to choose from.

So where am I going with this you ask? Well, my point is that planning ahead is actually a good thing. Get it now before you need it so when you do you aren't scrambling with just whatever you can find.

So while swimming isn't actually the topic of this post another warm weather activity is; gardening.

Now with gardening comes bugs and weeds and while the weeds can be dealt with by hand, the bugs are a little harder. And seeing as you plan on eating those tomatoes and zucchini, you certainly don't want to be spraying a ton of nasty chemicals all over them.

That's where EcoSmart comes in. I wrote about EcoSmart early and they're natural pest control and how much I really liked it. Well they also make a Safe Plant and Garden Bundle that includes a great natural insecticide for tomatoes.

Something that I love about EcoSmart is that they list all their ingredients right there on their web site. You know exactly what's in them and can easily look the ingredients up if you aren't sure about them. Like their natural bug killer, it contains Isopropanol. I didn't know what that was so I Googled it, it's a non-toxic solvent that evaporates quickly. I could make guesses at why it's in a bug killer but I won't, all that's important to me is that it's not toxic.

The Safe Plant and Garden Bundle includes, Weed and Grass Killer, Garden Fungicide, Garden Insect Killer and Insect Repellent. I am especially excited about the insect repellent because my Grandparents have a creek on their property and the mosquitoes find Todd and the boys extra tasty.

And you know what's extra great about this bundle? EcoSmart is giving one away to one of you! So onto the good part!

Well, I' for one am stunned to learn that thousands of bugs are already resistant to synthetic or chemical based insecticides. That's gross and a bit scary!

This information is so eye opening... the pesticides ... I had no idea.

I knew natural insecticides degrade at a faster rate than chemical-based insecticides but I never really thought about the ability for prolonged protection. But I guess that makes sense.

Good weather is getting me itchy to garden.
