Take a Bite Out Of Plastic Bag Waste With Bite Bags {Review & Giveaway}

Feelin' alive with giveaway number 5!

As you may know I absolutely love my reusable shopping bags. I think it's by far one of the easiest green choices you can make. I have quite a few to make sure I never end up at the store without one. I am a total nut about using them.

However, I buy a lot of bulk foods that need to go into they're own little bag. And so what do I end up coming home with that I'm so desperately trying to avoid, that's right, plastic bags.

My fruits and veggies I can leave loose in the cart, or throw into a big reusable after they're weighed at the farmers market. But things like seeds, nuts, brown rice and quinoa I have to put into something and a big canvas bag just isn't going to work.

So what's a girl to do? Well, if she's me she starts looking for some produce sized reusable bags.

Seeing as this problem started months ago I've tried a few varieties, but hadn't found anything that was “just right”. Yeah, just call me Goldilocks.

And then came Bite bags.

Bite bags have a mesh body and a patterned fabric top with a drawstring and cord lock.

They're a good size so they can be used for anything from raisins to apples. I was able to fit almost 6 pounds of apples in one bag and still close it. Very cool in my green book.

Which brings me to my favorite part, well one of my favorite parts; the lock cord. Because Bite bags can stay closed on their own I don't have to get those little twist ties that you right the bin number on. Instead I just type the number in the notes section of my phone and let the cashier know what the number is when I get up there. Love it!

The other thing I just love is that they're made in Boston, MA. I grew up outside of Boston so this just makes me all proud and nostalgic for the east coast.

Some other great features are that the bags are machine washable, light weight and super durable.

They also fold up nice and small, I kept them in my purse so I would be sure not to forget them when I went to the store.

I just love these bags and think they're wonderful, but you don't have to take my word for it, Bite bags wants to give one of you a set of 3 bags!

I love the 'rustic' collection! Very pretty bags. The decorative border is awfully nice.

It's so funny to me. I grew up in Europe where we used cloth bags for shopping. Americans at the time thought it was so "backwards and old-fashioned." I love my shopping totes.

These mesh bags are a fantastic idea.

I love the bright colors used on these bags. What a great idea to eliminate even more plastic bags from our shopping trips.

I like the harvest collection (especially the brown and tan one). I've been looking for a good solution for avoiding bulk bin plastic bags, and this looks like it!
