What's Your Wake Up Story?
My wake up came when I realized that it's not about saving the planet, it's about saving ourselves. As much as we beat up the planet it will always be here, but what state will it be in?
Will my great grandkids know what a forest is? Will they know what a clear blue sky looks like? Will they be healthy or will they be born with so many toxins already in they're bodies from air pollution and plastic everything that it hardly matters what non-toxic choices they make.
My wake was realizing it's not about me, it's about my boys.
What's your wake up story?
For more about my story come back next week, I need to go pick up my boys from school and hug them extra tight.
After you watch the video stop by Healthy Child Healthy World to find out what you can do to help keep your family healthy.

On my last tour as a merchandiser, I looked at endless tables full of brand new merchandise and a mountain of empty boxes. This was just 1 night in 1 city. How many times would those shirts be worn before they ended up in thrift stores? How long would they be in a thrift store before they were destroyed? How long can we keep destroying shirts before the earth is destroyed?
WAKE UP! There is only 1 Earth and you can't recycle it.
I'm just so tired of all of the STUFF laying around and collecting dust.

My wake up happened last year when I realized that my son and myself were seriously suffering from all the toxins in our food and surrounds. My son could not focus at school and I was having extreme allergy problems. I was desperate to find an answer to both our problems. While researching possible causes, I realized both our bodies could were in toxic overload. Greening our lives made an almost immediate difference in our health and now the whole family is flourishing.
I could never understand why people who believe in global warming and those that don't cannot at the very least agree that many common things could be made more eco friendly and we do not need to be touching/inhaling/eating/exposed to all the crap that we are.
It just seems like common sense to make the planet a greener and cleaner place. REgardless of why we're doing it.
