I Am Grateful

What is gratitude? I think gratitude is being thankful for what you have or are given, whether or not it is what you wanted.

I’ve always believed that everything happens for a reason. Over the years that has definitely been put to the test but never as much as it was last year. 2009 was the most stressful, the most difficult and the most unbelievable all at the same time.

But because of everything that happened it’s brought to where we’ve always wanted to be: near my mom, grandparents and cousins, here in the mountains, which is second only to living near the ocean for me.

Todd and I have talked about moving up here for about 5 years but the timing was just never “right”. There was always this thing or that reason that it just wouldn’t work. Then Todd lost his job and seeing that we were living just this side of nowhere, there weren’t very many opportunities. Suddenly moving was a very good idea and definitely “right”.

I love living up surrounded by nature. I can just breathe better with all this life around. We have a family (or possibly two) of deer that live in the woods on the hill across the street from our house. We’ve seen them countless times, mothers, babies and even a male a couple of times. Now he is a sight to see!

I came across this jewelry line called Waves of Gratitude. It’s based on the belief that when life presents you with difficulties, a strong foundation of gratitude can help turn those difficulties into opportunities.

Hmmm…that sounds familiar. So I looked a little further and found necklaces, earrings and bracelets that all represented different things to be grateful for.

Waves of Gratitude kindly sent me the Nature Wave Necklace to review. They chose that one to send because of the blog I write, I love it because it’s perfect in so many ways.

I don’t wear a lot of jewelry and what I do means something to me. I love the simple design of the Nature Wave Necklace, it just feels right to me.

Living up here with all this beauty around me just reiterates the importance of living greener to me. And I am very grateful that all that craziness brought us here.
