Oh Sweet Day! {Giveaway}

So recently I got an email asking me if I would be interested in trying some candies from Surf Sweets. Now I will be totally honest with you, I may try to eat really healthy but I still love me some candy every now and again.

What caught my eye in the email was that Surf Sweets offers both vegetarian and vegan candies, they don’t contain corn syrup (allergic) or GMO’s, are organic and gluten-free. Usually my only candy indulgence is chocolate because it tends to be the only thing that I can find to meet my allergy needs, now there’s Surf Sweets, this may not be a good thing. ;)

The boys don’t care as much about chocolate so I don’t generally have to share, that however is most definitely not the case when it comes to fruity gummy candies. So needless to say I had quite a bit of help taste testing the candies.

We got to try 4 different varieties, gummy bears (not vegetarian), jellybeans, sour gummy bears and gummy swirls. The swirls and sour bears are both vegan and all of them are made in the U.S.A., yay!

So we started off with the gummy bears. I love gummy bears and have super good childhood memories wrapped up in them, so I was really rooting for these to be good.

Dylan’s thoughts on the gummy bears, “Sooo good!”, as you may be able to tell by the photo. These were Dylan's favorite, if you couldn't tell.



Next were the jelly beans. These got a rousing 4 thumbs up from the boys. Tyler decided he didn't want his face in the photos, in case you were wondering.



Then came the sour gummy bears. Tyler said they weren’t too sour, Dylan didn’t agree. I have to agree with Ty on this one, I don’t like sour candies and I liked these just fine. These were Tyler's fave, but only by a small margin, he really liked them all.



Last were the gummy swirls. After the first one Tyler couldn’t decide if they were sweet or sour, so he had another to be sure. He decided on sweet. I thought they were sweet with a bit of a creamy flavor. These were not however Dylan’s favorite, he only had 1 bite.



So while candy isn’t something we have a lot of around here, for me, Surf Sweets candies are a good choice for when we do. Having these did inspire me to make my own dessert ball recipe though, I’ll let you know how that went later in the week. Hey, I gotta make sure you come back right? ;)
