All Things Pure {Review & Giveaway}

Not long ago I was asked to review a line of skin care products from Bioelemets called All Things Pure. The line, which includes a cleanser, face scrub, eye oil and moisturizer, contains natural and organic ingredients and nothing synthetic. All Things Pure also carries the National Products Association seal.

I’m really picky when it comes to my skin care products. I’ve had skin issues ever since I was a kid. I got my first pimple in the 4th grade and even now still have the occasional breakout. Having 2 kids along the way has also changed my skin and knowing what I do now about the ingredients that can be found in many products I’m very careful about what I try.

So before I said yes to trying out the products I went to Bioelements web site to check them out, which is where I got the above info. My only concern was that there was a corn ingredient in the cleanser and I wasn’t entirely sure if I should use it since I’m allergic to corn. I asked the lady who contacted me about using the cleanser and she asked their esthetician who said I should talk to my doctor about if it would be ok for me to use. Since that was the only "issue" I went ahead and said yes and figured I would just give it a try.

Another thing that needs to be mentioned, I think, is that the packing that the products came in can be recycled and the containers for the products are made from glass. Glass containers instead of plastic means no leaching of chemicals from the plastic into your products, which I very much liked.

Ok, so now onto the products finally. I’ve been using the products for a little more than a week now and so far I haven’t had any negative reactions to the cleanser, so that’s great. I also didn’t have the usual “getting used to it” phase that happens sometimes for me when I switch products. That phase generally includes breakouts and sometimes redness on my cheeks.

The scrub doesn’t say how often to use it but generally you use them once or twice a week. I’ve used it twice a week and really like it. I like how the little granules melt into your skin as you go and how smooth I feel afterwards.

I generally don’t use moisturizer but gave this one a shot since I needed to tell you about. I did like it and I could definitely see using it during the winter when my skin gets dry. I don’t think it was overly heavy, it actually felt very light going on, but I have oily skin so I need something super light. The eye oil says that you can use it on your whole face as well, which is what I did after the first trial of the moisturizer. I really like the eye oil for my face; I will definitely keep using that.

All in all I liked the All Things Pure products and so you can see if you will too Bioelemets is giving one lucky reader a complete set as well! That’s right, you’ll get the cleanser, scrub, eye oil and moisturizer! For the main entry stop by Bioelements and then leave a comment here telling me what your #1 skin problem or skin solution is. This one must be done for all other entries to count.

Cool stuff! I visited the site and was pleased to find that they have something (Lightplex) specifically for post-acne dark spots -- my primary skin problem.

I have bad dark circles and just dull skin in general. It might have something to do with being almost 8 months pregnant! LOL I think my skin just really needs a pick-me-up!

I'm new subscriber to you, so I am VERY confused about your contest logistics!

BUT I do subscribe to you and am a fan on Facebook, and I intend to post about this to my friends on Facebook, many of whom are trying to go more "natural" in their skin care and cleaning products.

My skin issues are the same as yours, actually, and I still get acne before my period every month. Oh joy! Plus, I am switching from Mary Kay after discovering they rate badly at the Skin Deep cosmetic review site.

My worst skin issue was probably that I had bouts with pimples occasionally. I'm pretty happy with my skin now, even though I'm 45 (!) Since becoming vegan and high raw, I'm smooth and rosy!

#1 skin problem...

Well, I'm at that lovely age where I'm still getting "teenage" acne breakouts AND developing fine lines around my eyes.

Zits and wrinkles.

Oh joy.

My biggest skin problem.... It was hard to limit it to 3 on the site! Right now it's clogged pores and worrying about the wrinkles that are starting.

My skin issue is acne and acne scars. Lately I've been using Manuka honey on my face and it seems to help quite a bit.

My biggest problem is my face is really oily. I chose non-oily lotion, doesn't help much. Glasses kept sliding down my face.
