Folsom Zoo Sanctuary - Wordless Wednesday
Last week my dad and I took the boys to the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary. The animals that live here do so because they can’t return to the wild. Some were once pets and others are here because they were injured out in the wild and would no longer be able to care for themselves on their own.
We were greeted by chickens when we got there. Dad tried to feed them a leaf, they weren’t impressed.
There were lots of peacocks flying around and we even found some lost peacock feathers.

There were tigers
and bears, but no lions.
Dylan got to try out Granddude’s binoculars too see a mommy peacock and it’s babies up close.
Turns out he didn’t really need them.
The boys loved getting to see all the animals and Tyler liked that they were being cared for since they couldn’t do it themselves.
And can I just say that asking him for permission to post pics of him is too weird. When did he get old enough to care? He's just getting so mature.

Love the name Granddude! So nice to make these wonderful memories together with family :)
p.s. To answer your question...it seems to happen when they get taller than us...lol!
I was just going to say the same Evergreen said - love the name 'granddude'! ha ha! That's great.
What a great time! We just happened upon a local park that had small farm animals (no tigers, bears or peacocks - btw those peacock babies are so cute!) for YS2 to look at. It was so fun. I'll have to post pics from it.
Anyway, looks like a beautiful day for a family outing.
Great shots, but that tiger looks so sad.
