Go Green With Litter Free Lunch {Giveaway}

Last year, well, about this time, I was introduced to Litter Free Lunch when I was asked to review their reusable napkins. Well since then they’ve come out with even more wonderful reusables to make your (and your kids) lunches litter free.

Now they’re making reusable sandwich and snack bags, you can even get them as a set including a napkin in the Go Green Trio. I got to choose the color of the Go Green Trio I was going to review and asked the boys since they would be using them the most and they went with Chili Pepper Red.

Litter Free Lunch also sent me a set of sandwich and snack bags in their new Peace print design. Very cute. And pretty awesome since now I have a set for both boys.



Last September for Ditch the Disposables one of the things I gave up was plastic baggies. My mom and I made some cloth snack bags for the boys to take their snacks in, but I have to admit, these are a bit better than the ones we made.

The Litter Free Lunch bags are made from cotton and are lined with nylon. They are machine washable but it’s recommended that you let them air dry, which I did and they looked great afterwards. They’re a lot roomier than they first appear, which was great. The sandwich bags also make great snack bags if you want to pack a lot of something.

For example, when we went to Six Flags and San Francisco last week I needed to take a lot of snacks because when the boys are out, they get hungry. So I filled up the red sandwich bag with pretzels (from the 6 lb bag that I still have a lot of) and the Peace sandwich bag with Wheat Thins. I fit almost an entire box of Wheat Thins in that bag. Crazy! And yes, I used the snack bags as well, plus I packed the napkin from the Go Green Trio and a few from the previous batch I reviewed.



It was great, we had tons of snacks and Todd’s back wasn’t broken from carrying a bunch of heavy containers. Also, since the bags are sealed with Velcro they were super easy for Dylan to open and close. It’s always nice when he can do it himself.



So far I’ve used the bags for the movies, our trip and to keep snacks in my purse since as soon as we leave the house Dylan’s starving. The snack bags fit perfectly in my purse without taking up too much room.

To make it simple, I love these bags. I love that they’re reusable and washable; I love that using them means not using plastic baggies; I love that they're light and easy to pack; I love that they’re easy for Dylan to use....like I said, I just love them. I also love them on Facebook. Like how I snuck that in? ;)
