I love The Smell Of Coconut Oil {Giveway & Review}
A little bit ago I got sent some more coconut oil from Tropical Traditions. But this coconut oil isn’t for eating it’s for wearing, or more precisely, for putting in your hair.
I mentioned in my last coconut oil review that I’ve heard of people using it in their hair but hadn’t actually tried it myself. I started think more and more about after doing that review and thought I’d like to give it a try.
When I look for products that I’m going to use on my skin or hair I always read ingredients and I don’t buy products that have funky ingredients in them. Well the coconut oil hair treatment has 1 ingredient, coconut oil. Super simple, just the way I like it.
I don’t condition my hair every time I wash it, I only do it twice a month or so normally. However, since I’ve been out in the sun, um, a lot this summer my hair’s needed a little extra loving. What I like doing is to put the coconut oil on before I get in the shower so it can really soak up into those dry ends.
It also makes a great after hair color treatment. I’ve started coloring my hair at home to save a little (a lot) of money. It’s not as bad as I thought it would, and I’m loving smelling like coconut oil afterward.
I’ve also found that rubbing it onto sunburned skin right out of the shower is quite nice as well. My sunburn is doing much better now and has turned into a tan, awesome.
Plus the other cool thing about the hair treatment is that since it’s really just coconut oil you can still use it like you would any other coconut oil. You could scoop some out and put it into a reusable container to keep in the bathroom and then keep the jar in the kitchen. I kind of wish I had thought of this sooner.
So what’s with that stock photos above you ask? Well, I realized I hadn’t yet taken any photos of the coconut oil so I went to take it out of the shower and it turns out I hadn’t put the lid on all the way. So it crashed out of my hand and onto the floor. Yeah, I’m a little bummed about that. I’ll just have to keep an eye out for a sale on it in their newsletter. Tropical Traditions always has great discounts going that you can easily find out about through their newsletter. Signing up is even a bonus entry so it’s a win-win.
Anyways, I very much enjoyed it while I had it and Tropical Traditions wants to give one Easy Eco To Go reader they’re very own jar of coconut oil hair treatment. For the main entry go to Tropical Traditions and leave a comment here with something else that you like on their site. This one must be done for all other entries to count.

So sorry to hear you dropped your coconut oil :( Sounds like it was good while it lasted though. Glad it helped with your sunburn!

Don't enter me...I have this already...but I will agree, it's great on the hair! You still have any of that soap I sent you? You can use that on your hair! If you suffer from flakey scalp ever, use it for a day or two and see the difference. (I'd recommend rinsing with a dime sized drop of shampoo after using oils in the hair for easier combing.)
:o)
Sorry, I also meant to type, thanks for voting for me! You rock!
